And that my friends is all she wrote! I got an email stating they were sorry, they are processing my request and that I will see the funds refunded into my PSN wallet within the next several days.
Just goes to show you, even Sony can't argue with cold hard facts and common sense! I seriously can't help but feel awesome right now, I mean sure it was the PSN department, but that is still pretty big in and of its own right.
Thanks for your support, and for your time, but as this is over, its done, finito. Feel free to spread this article as much as you like, just let people know that they don't have to put up with Sony shoving their ToS down your throat!
Thanks again.
Best regards,
MizuMikomi

I am tired of this... it's been going on for a few days now and it all started when I contacted Sony Customer Support about getting a refund on some DLC for Hyperdimension Neptunia that had been listed wrong when I first purchased it of off the PSN Store.
At first I thought, they'd be apologetic and what have you, then give me the refund that I so rightfully deserve.. boy was I wrong.
Pro-Tip: Double Click the Images in this article, if you have troubling reading them.
But I am getting ahead of, first off you need to know how this all started.
March 8th new DLC for the PS3 game Hyperdimension Neptunia was added to the Plasystation Store, the ones I went after were three dungeons, each items individual price was as follows:
Revenge for the Betrayal: $0.99 ($1.07 with sales tax)
Planeptune Reconstruction: $0.99 ($1.07 with sales tax)
Request from and Overlord: $0.99 ($1.07 with sales tax)
All three of these items were listed wrong, and thus I was charged a total of $3.21 for the dungeons that were advertised on their blog as FREE. At first I contacted NISAmerica Customer Support to see if they could do anything, their response was disheartening to say the least, but my original email first:
According to the contents of their email, I am not allowed to disclose what it said, or even post a screenshot as it is "Strictly Prohibited", but the gist of it was that they cannot process a PSN refund, that Sony was SUPPOSED to have refunded me, and that I needed to contact Sony for assistance, so I did:
At this point I thought to myself: "Cool, they will investigate my claims and give me a refund when they are done!" Of course as all of you should know by now, I was absolutely wrong:
They thought they had me there, but they didn't, I have to thank them for supplying me with a link to the blog otherwise I would have never found what I needed to argue back. Search for Hyperdimension Neptunia, and you will see what I mean: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/03/08/playstation-store-update-180/
There you will see:
Unfortunately, I failed to notice this, until AFTER I sent my next reply:
Guess I was a bit to hasty and fired off too soon, eh? No matter, as I got a reply today and was able to fire RIGHT back at them again, nevertheless, their reply:
Oooh telling me to refer to your ToS, so scary, as if I haven't read it, I swear companies think we are idiots that need to be slowly walked through everything. I play video games, therefor reading and reading comprehension are two of my strong suits, and always have been!
But it was good they gave me a link to the ToS, as I was able to review, and GUESS WHAT?
"Features, specifications, prices, services and content are subject to change or withdrawal at any time and SCEA does not provide any refunds in the event of a price drop, a subsequent promotional offering or product removal."
I found what I needed to end this charade, I have them cornered, they reply back otherwise, and I will just keep at it. Now before you say they've got me with the price drop clause, I have to point out, that a Price Drop, and an Improper Listing are two entirely different things. And only one of them is listed within the ToS, I literally have them cornered!
So with this new discovery I fired back with my longest and most detailed email yet:
Its almost over, I have the cornered, and I can't wait to see their reply and be given my refund.
"You don't fuck around with Mizu, because Mizu will fuck you up, and send your logic reeling back to hell!"
The days of me cowering fear at the almighty dollar signs that a company possesses are OVER, first Ntreev/SGI, then iTunes/Apple, now Sony, absolutely positively no more!
You will receive it right back 1000 fold, so as I said:
Word of the wise: "You don't fuck around with Mizu, because Mizu will fuck you up, and send your logic reeling back to hell!"
I will update you about what unfolds, heres a hint, they reply to my distaste, I will reply right back. I am going to be persistent as ever, and although you may say:
"Why? It's only $3.71!"
In the end it all amount to one thing and one thing only. A company not willing to refund a purchase, and stealing from a customer, in this case, ME. They might have thought they could get away with this because I am just a consumer, well, they thought wrong.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to report back next time saying this matter is solved!
If not... well... hehehe, they REALLY won't like me then.
