PSVita - Why all the hate?

Recently I have seen a lot of PSVita haters after the pricing was revealed for Sony's new memory format. Which just happens to be the only thing that the handheld can use. But is all this hate, butt-hurt, and fan rage really worth it?

Below, I have come up with some comparisons between the ProDuo and this new memory format.
PSVita Memory Format:
-Used to prevent piracy
-US and EU prices comparable to JPN pricing.
-Supposedly can hold up to 2TB (Terabytes)
-PSVita is the only device that supports them thus far
-No USB Mass Storage support
-Comes with a content management program of it's own

Memory Stick ProDuo:
-Up to 32GB (Gigabytes)
-Limited Quantity that comes at a premium price, can hold up to 2TB (Terabytes)
-Same MSRP as Vita memory stick, but no longer sold at those prices
-USB Mass Storage support
-Supported by a wide number of electronics
-Were more expensive at the PSP's original launch

Some have the audacity to say they are overpriced, but when you look into it the MSRP for both ProDuo Memory Sticks, and PSVita's new memory format are priced the exact same. The only difference is that ProDuos are being sold cheaper, likely because of the Vita's impending release. Get it people?

Here's a personal account of this pricing beign the exact same:

October of last year I went into Staples and bought a Sony 16GB
(Gigabytes) Memory Stick ProDuo Mark2 for my PSP 3000 for $69.99. Oh! Would you look at that, same price as the Vita's starting prices, I'll be darned.

Just two weeks ago my sister went out and bought a third party brand 4GB Memory Stick ProDuo Mark2 for $24.99. The exact same price as the Vita's recently announced prices, as well as the current suggested retail value for Memory Stick ProDuo Mark2 cards.

You may be seeing the ProDuos for cheaper, but they are being phased out, eventually when you succumb and buy a PSVita they will be useless other than using them with your PSP or other Sony products.

PSVita's memory sticks are in no way expensive, over-priced, or a ripoff. It amazes me how quick people were to try and find something wrong  with the Vita. Guess it was so hard that they vouched to bash the Memory Format?
People who complain need to grow up, and learn to do some research. Plus, the Vita isn't even out yet. We have no specs on transfer speed, we have hardly any information about them. Other than the fact they are the same suggested retail value as Memory Stick ProDuo Mark2's, and have no USB mass storage.

Stop being so quick to judge, people. It's a new Sony system, what did you really expect? SD card support? Don't make me laugh.
