Neptune Mk2 screenshots, official art and more!

Compile Heart released a batch of updates to their Neptune Mk2 site yesterday evening, showcasing the new graphics, new CPU, Magic who is one of Arfoire's 4 Elite; nice reference, among other things, so let's get started~

Once again the story takes place in Gamindustri.

Arfoire has taken over, the CPUs have disappeared and it's up to the Sisters to rescue their older sisters and save Gamindustri from Arfoire; and her 4 Elite's, evil clutches.

-80% of elementry kids plays majikon/Flashcarts.
-Even parents encourage their kids to play majikon/Flashcarts.

Arfoire's 4 Elite are clones; or corrupted versions, of the Goddesses... nothing about them has been revealed. Other than the fact "Magic" is a psychotic version of Neptune/Purple Heart; that does not mean she IS Neptune.

Planeptune: The land of Purple Progress looks much more developed and more Utopian than it's HDN iteration ever hoped to be.

Lastation: A steampunk dystopian environment of Black Regality... it fits its subtitle from HDN much better than ever before. It bears a strikign resemblance to Academy City from To Aru Majutsu no Index and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun.

Lowee: Not much to say here... other than it's snowing, and sparkly. Notice the mountains in the background, looks like the landmasses are connected now.

Leanbox(?): If this truly is Leanbox that I am curious as to what happened to it's "Green Pastures" as it's title once proclaimed.

Graveyard Gyoukai: Also known as Graveyard of the Industry and Industry Graveyard. This is the home of the Exhausted, and is the place where Arfoire is holding the Goddesses captive.

Mysterious SP bar makes it's first appearance, and IF-Chan he never looked better, however I can't help but wonder where her Leafy Bow went.

Second appearance of the SP bars, and look at that dungeon, it enormous! That question mark probably indicates a search point or something.

Having these two in better quality never hurt anyone~

Notice the enemies already depleted HP bar below it, the absence of a turn order, and no battle stance. Could battles no longer be random encounter?

Mintsburu feature in action, I love the inclusion of Estelle (Tales of Vesperia) in the top right, who is actually a reference to the blog Esuteru

One of Arfoire's 4 Elite: Magic the Hard, known as CPU Magic, she is a psychotic version of Neptune/Purple Heart. We are not for certain if she is a clone, or is in fact Neptune herself.

Repeat screenshot, just better quality.

No more breathing portraits for scenes... personally I like this change. And these graphics are breath-taking, Compile Heart really is going all out with this game. I just hope to God it pays off for them in the long run.

The tentacle cord bondage scene seems to be an in game CG event... heh, I won't be complaining.

As always I will be sure to update you all when I am made aware of more information and whatnot. Chou Jigen Game Neptune Mk2 still has no set release date, but is projected for Early to Mid August of this year.
