PSVita - Why all the hate?

Recently I have seen a lot of PSVita haters after the pricing was revealed for Sony's new memory format. Which just happens to be the only thing that the handheld can use. But is all this hate, butt-hurt, and fan rage really worth it?

Below, I have come up with some comparisons between the ProDuo and this new memory format.

Ifninite Souls isn't by Keiji Inafune afterall...

The producer's name is "Shin Inafune Keiji", likely not his real name, but whatever. He admits that being a produce is a lot harder than he expect, and said that he has great respect for Inafune, who he considers to be a sort of idol.

Mugen Souls is his first time working in the industry and he hopes to sell a lot or copies... stupid publicity stunt, or is he really that crazy?  We have no clue, so how about you decide?

Mugen(Infinite) Souls is slated for release next March, no word on a localization yet.

Keiji Inafune Reveals "Overwhelming Game Infinite Souls"

Remember this article about Keiji Inafune's new mystery game? As it turns out, this is it, Overwhelming Game, Infinite Souls! which is headed to a Japanese PlayStation format; presumably PlayStation 3, in March 2012.

Dengeki PlayStation revealed that the game will feature mild erotic visuals, which will be drawn by Katsuya Hirano, who was responsible for the risque art in Record of Agarest War and Agarest Senki 2. Endless Leveling, moves that will deal trillion points of damage,  Infinite Combo attacks, and Over-powered moves.

Another Writer Has Joined The Party!

Greetings. My name is Empty Overture. As you may or may not have noticed, Mizu's name is no longer the only one on the blog, for the past two months or so, my name has accompanied his. This is because he invited me to the blog back in August, although, I'm not entirely sure why myself. Maybe it's because I have some strong opinions of my own, and tend to rant?

Well, regardless, I haven't spoken to you, the readers, just yet, because I haven't had an article that I find interesting enough for you guys to give a read. I really do hope to have some interesting reading material for you all shortly though! Look forward to it!

Another thing is, that you may have noticed that the blog looks very different than usual. This is because Mizu is currently working to make this blog the very best he can, by making it more reader-friendly, and removing anything he deems as meaningless blog posts. So, that's another thing to look forward to, a crisper, cleaner blog that's a lot easier to read.

Anyway, that is all I popped in to say. To sum it up, I am another writer for this blog, and I plan on writing some interesting things in the future. Mizu is also trying to make this blog as good as can be, and that's something that I can't wait to see.

Compile Heart and Keiji Inafune... collaborating again?

Seems like it with their newest teaser site, which happens to be teasing a game with the project name of "MGN"(?). Well seeing as Inafune is involved I expect this to be related to the Neptune (Neptunia) series, and MGN possibly being short for Magiquone just adds more fuel to the fire. The site reads:

"Keiji Inafune is Old News!"

The teaser site for Mk2 was NPG, that old link now redirects us to the Chou Jigen game Neptune Mk2 website. Let's see, Keiji Inafune, MGN (Magiquone), Compile Heart... it's Neptune related.

We'll keep you updated as more information emerges.

Megaman legends 3 - The Death of an Experiment

Now I won't be one too say that I was following this project from the get-go, seeing as how I have never even seen the two original installments, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a reason why I got a 3DS.

Mainly for the fact CAPCOM was using it as an experiment, they wanted to let fans behind the scenes, which honestly... was working until they stopped listening to what we had too say. Doesn't meet the criteria to be green-lit, really, that's your best corporate excuse? I am sorry but no, an excuse like that just doesn't cut it.

Back to Blogging!

Hey everyone!

Been awhile hasn't it? Yeah I know, I have been way too inactive and inconsistent with my articles, but I plan on fixing that from this point forward.

Anyway, so things that have been preventing me from blogging... they aren't gone, but I have just decided to ignore them! Yep, that's right, I am ignoring the factors that make me "not' want to blog. You all should be happy~ *Smacked*

So yeah, thats about it on that front, so let's continue, shall we?
As you have noticed, I redesigned the blog, it was too dark... and depressing so I gave it a face-lift. I actually prefer this over the previous design, so I would like some feedback, all right?

I plan on posting details about Final Fantasy XIII-2, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, and many other games that I may be interested in during the next week because of E3. So look forward to that.

Oh also, I finally have some games for my 3DS, so I can finish the review on it. Yay....

I had more to say, but I lost my train of though, guess I will just end the post  here... laterz~

Self Promoting Time~

Hi there everyone, Mizu here, I just wanted to kinda self promote my writings on DeviantArt... yeah I know this is kinda a low tactic but here me out! Plus this is my "personal" blog, so I won't just keep it rants, reviews, and gaming news; haha, its a rhyme!

For three years I have been working on a project that I had just titled "Mythia" eventually it fleshed out into a literature project I aptly name, Chronicles of Mythia, that of which I have only posted on DeviantArt. Right now I am on it's eighteenth revision.

I took on a time old concept, characters getting sucked into a video game, but I took it a step further... Mizuko and Mariko are not just sucked into a video game, but a JRPG! Not just any RPG, Chronicles of Mythia, the latest game to hit store shelves in their world, saying a lot of stuff about it would just spoil the charm that my critics have said it has.

I only have two chapters, but Chapter 3; the longest chapter thus far, will be up this week. So to get you started...

Chronicles of Mythia - Chapter 1
Chronicles of Mythia - Chapter 2

From now on I will likely be posting individual links, and an update when each chapter is released, perhaps with a tiny summary of each, not sure yet. But pleeeeeeeeeeeeease check it out, I would really appareciate if you did~!

Thanks a bunch~<3

Neptune Mk2 site update - April 28th 2011

Updated: http://www.compileheart.com/neptune_mk2/

Special section: New wallpapers for each Sister and their accompanying forms, they also added the human form Sister's twitter pack. I'll toss them in individual rar files in a bit and organize them by resolution for ease of convenience, and backup purposes.

Spec section update: Two new tabs have been added, one detailing the figures, which turn out to be Nendoroid Petits(pictured above), and another talking about the "special privilege" items which could be either a phone card, A4 poster printout, or a visual book that you can get through ordering from AmiAmi or other Japanese retailers.

Song Section: Updated showing a picture of nao, confirming what we already knew, that she was doing the opening for this game as well. Plus she is pretty cute~ ^^

Anyway, thats all for now I guess... still no trailer, no new screens, and nothing that we didn't already know. As a consolation here are some scans I failed to post in the last article along with an extra.

Yes people, the chick at the bottom is Magiquone, now known as Magic the Hard; Magic Heart would be accurate. Magiquone has found a way to take Neptune's power from her and used it to decimate the other three CPUs, who she then used their processor power of, to create three mecha Guardains. In this image she is pictured with her three Guardians:

Magic the Heart/Magiquone (Bottom)
Brave the Heart (Left)
Judge the Heart (Up)
Trick the Heart (Left)

Together they are Magiquone's 4 elite, a play-on of the "Elite 4" in the Pokemon series of games no doubt. The guardians all have male CVs, but are otherwise genderless, Keiji Inafune was in charge of their designs, yes, even Magiquone/Arfoire's HDD form.

What does this mean for the four CPUs? No one is quite sure, but we know one thing, they are in need of saving and their imoutos are coming to save the day!

Sorry this scan is so small, I just thought you all might be interested in it.

No clue where this came from, but I just want to point out Nepgear's slender legs, the fact she is more than likely going "nopan"; not wearing panties/pantsu, and the adorable Neptune keychain on her tote.

That's all I have got for now, Chou Jigen Game Neptune Mk2 is set for release August 18th of this year.

Why wait for Tales news next week, when Nintendo Power can spoil it?

Yes, this is a Nintendo Power article; not scanned by me as my sub ended last month, and yes this does mean Tales of the Abyss 3D is making it stateside.
3.... 2.... 1....
HOLY SHIT YES, ALL REGRETS ABOUT GETTING MY 3DS ARE GONE!

Namco teased us this week saying to expect some exciting news next week, well it looks like Nintendo Power jumped the gun, and someone got a hold of the announcement before Namco could formally say a damned word.
Seeing how I am too freaking hyped to post like a professional here's another two scans:

This bottom scan has a great interview with the series producer, and he sheds some light upon the recent revival of Tales outside of Japan and how long it's taken them to achieve this. Here's and excerpt:

Nintendo Power
We're overjoyed to see the Tales series returning to the west with Tales of the Abyss for N3DS and Tales of graces F. How has your approache to the localization of the series changed over the last few years?

Makoto Yoshizumi
Japanese RPGs have a huge amount of text that requires a lot of time to localize. and not just time, of course, but money as well. We've tried taking steps on our end to help alleviate this problem, and we're starting to see results. Hopefully, we can now look forward to seeing more games in the "Tales of" series being enjoyed by a worldwide audience.
At the end of the interview Nintendo Power asks if we can expect to see mroe info on Tales of Graces F soon, as well as the platform, and he said we should be getting info soon. Hell yes, more Tales, is ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

My Nintendo 3DS mini-review

I got my 3DS today and thus far I love it, and I haven't gotten a headache from it despite having the 3D on max. I also wear contacts so I would think it would bug me quite a bit, but it doesn't, I guess I am just fortunate not to get eyestrain from 3D.

Anyway, after having it for 7 hours I have to say, it's pretty and I do not regret buying it one bit, too bad it did poorly in sales... but I am sure it will pick up once Ninty starts handing out the GOOD games for it.

For your convenience I have compiled a lsit of Pros and Cons to the system, all of which will likely be fixed in the next iteration of the 3DS; I don't care if Ninty said there won't be one... it's a tradition and they can't break it now, anyway onto the list:

Neptune Mk2 Release date, LE Contents, and Inafune's involvement revaled!

Yes that is a giant Inafune head doing a shoop da whoop, and yes that is a sword shaped like Inafune... GOD HELP US ALL. Inafune's head is part of a special mvoe that Nepgear seems to have, which I have listed blow a long with the swords name:

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Premium Edition Revealed

OMG OMG OMG, I LOVE CAT---errr, s'cuse the obscure Neptunia reference.

Anyway, down to business, today NIS America revealed this image of the Disgaea 4 A promise Unforgotten Premium edition, ad whaddya know? It includes the same Fuuka Nendoroid that was included in the Japanese copy!

To my delight the NISA store pre-orders will recieve the OST as a bonus, it also comes with an artbook and some concept art too boot, so that makes up for it I suppose. And there will also be a SUPER LIMITED EDITION that includes everything from the Limited Edition + Nine Figures.

And for those wondering: "How on earth could they be including a Japanese Nendoroid?"

I would like you to turn your attention to this pretty lil' link: http://goodsmile.ecq.sc/

Goodsmile Company; the creators of the Nendoroid brand, have opened their English store and are now accepting overseas orders. Sure there is only one product thus far, but the possibility of future nendos being more available to the English speaking fans is very pleasing to say the least.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten is set for release by NIS America within the month of September.

"A not so merry nightmare..." | Mizu's Yumekui Merry Review

I am disappointed, better yet, extremely displease and yearning for more, why is that? Oh, well I am glad you asked! I just finished Yumekui Merry (Dreameater Merry), and up until the final episode I loved it... remember, I am using past tense here. I am almost positive people loved this show despite this fact; myself being one of those, and I love Merry for it''s original story, character, theme, plot, ideas, and premise, I mean I don't think I have seen such an original concept in a long long time, but... it feels incomplete, very incomplete, no... totally RUSHED is what I am going for.

This is my first review, so please bare with me... I have a lot to say, and feel this wasn't the best anime to tackle as my first review... but that's the challenging part, so whatever! Just... bare with me please~<3

Mizu's fight against $ony for a refund UPDATE + Concluded

And that my friends is all she wrote! I got an email stating they were sorry, they are processing my request and that I will see the funds refunded into my PSN wallet within the next several days.

Just goes to show you, even Sony can't argue with cold hard facts and common sense! I seriously can't help but feel awesome right now, I mean sure it was the PSN department, but that is still pretty big in and of its own right.

Thanks for your support, and for your time, but as this is over, its done, finito. Feel free to spread this article as much as you like, just let people know that they don't have to put up with Sony shoving their ToS down your throat!

Thanks again.

Best regards,
MizuMikomi

For the sake of preservation, I have left the previous version of the article unscathed after the break. So if you want to know how it all unfolded, feel free to click READ MORE so you may do so.

The NPG teaser site was up around 11:46 PM (CST) on Thursday evening, greeting everyone who visited with a countdown timer which held the daunting countdown of:

520:47:26

520 hours, 47 minutes, and 26 seconds, approximately 21 days until the site would fully launch and the game would formally be revealed. That is... until Spencer of the gaming news site,
Siliconera, decompiled the flash website and found that once the countdown ends it will lead to this link: http://www.compileheart.com/neptune_mk2/
